We are urgently looking for an experienced chef for full time work on a temporary to permanent basis for one of our clients based in Hounslow area.
Must have relevant experience working in school environment and fully able to create own menus and able to change it on time to time basis.
Order food from suppliers when required.
Maintain food diary ensuring records are kept up to date; recording fridge / freezer temperatures, goods in and cooked items.
Maintain record of pupils’ daily dietary requirements.
Ensure that a high standard of personal hygiene is maintained.
Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the cleaning schedule is adhered to.
Ensure correct food handling methods are observed; particularly regarding and cross contamination and storage.
Ensure that all sharp and dangerous utensils are locked away at the end of each shift and all items are accounted for.
Ensure that only kitchen staff are in the kitchen between 9am and 3pm.
Identify personal training needs and attend appropriate training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
Adhere to the Employee Handbook and all Company policies and procedures; particularly those relating to Health & Safety and safeguarding the welfare of pupils / residents.
Carry out any other duties as assigned by management.
